On a sunny July fourth afternoon we ventured to Nestldown, one of the most exquisitely beautiful wedding venues in the Bay Area, located in Los Gatos in the Santa Cruz mountains. Amongst lush forest greenery and gardens exploding with color, we were there to photograph and celebrate Chelsea and Lance.
Upon arriving we immediately met with Chelsea, who even before getting dressed was a picture of gorgeous youth and happiness; when she put on her Vera Wang wedding dress, an ivory colored lace mermaid gown with hand applied Chantilly lace accents, she radiated the special grace and delight that comes with celebrating one’s love for another.
Accompanied by her bridesmaids, who were each adorned in a unique dress in pale pastels from silvery gray to shear pink to pearly cream, we followed the bride to a to meet her groom amongst tall redwood trees, where they had their first look at each other and shared the first of many kisses to take place throughout the day.
In front of their friends and family in a redwood grove that can only be described as an enchanted forest from a fairy tale, Chelsea and Lance said their vows. Following the ceremony was a lovely dinner on the Nestldown lawn, which in the spirit of the Fourth of July included tasty holiday favorites such as fried chicken and fresh fruit. The festivities continued into the night with dancing in the rustic barn and ice cream sandwiches from the irresistible CREAM. The couple was wonderful to photograph; Lance with his humorous, easy going attitude, and Chelsea with her stunning smile and warm energy, they were clearly just happy to be together, which made our job easy! We are very grateful to have been a part of this tasteful, whimsical, joyous wedding day.
Congratulations to Chelsea and Lance!
